Our History
How WildLife Adventures was founded
WildLife Adventures was established many years back, when the founding members embarked on their own dramatic adventure. They decided to journey the length of Africa in a vehicle they had designed and modified themselves. A film crew captured the expedition, resulting in a BBC television documentary that chronicled their remarkable journey. This unforgettable experience made them determined to offer the opportunity to others. To see, feel, smell and taste the awesome beauty and power of Africa up close. Years later their philosophy remains the same - to showcase the ‘real' Africa, with the best possible service. 'We have travelled extensively ourselves all over Africa and know it well'. From these early beginnings, WildLife Adventures has grown into a leading adventure safari tour operator. In early 2008 WildLife Adventures was sold by Kevin Record and is now owned by Graeme Thompson, also owner of Africa Travel Co. Wildlife Adventures continues to operate quality tours throughout Southern and East Africa and now specialises in accomadated overland safaris. 2009 sees us introduce many new exciting safaris that are focused on specific destinations and include many of the highlights in the trip price. We've kept the old faviourites like the "Four Country Classic" and "Rainbow Nation" as well as introducing variety of Family Safaris and Public Transport trips. Come join us for your adventure of a life time.
