Our Head Office is in Cape Town and we have operations bases throughout Southern & East Africa, in Victoria Falls Zimbabwe & Nairobi in Kenya. We have been in operation for over 19 years, and have taken the WildLife Adventures brand on board for the last 2 years. The service and standards on the tours is excellent and we have a high percentage of repeat clients, which speaks volumes in itself. Our Vehicles:
Our fleet of vehicles comprises Mercedes and MAN trucks, customized for overland expeditions. The interior is spacious and comfortable with forward facing padded bus seating and glass windows to afford a spectacular view of the surroundings while traveling. There is also ample storage space for luggage, personal items, all equipment, including fresh water supplies, long-range fuel tanks, ample food stocks, and a fully fitted safari kitchen. Each of our vehicles is maintained by the driver and in our operations workshops. Our Crew:
We pride ourselves in being one of the few companies that use mainly African staff. We have a combination of guides and courier/cooks who have chosen to make this a career and not just a quick 6 month jaunt through Africa driving an overland truck. They take their job very seriously and in most cases, our guides have between five and ten years experience in the professional guiding capacity. We carry a minimum of two guides per vehicle. We get people from all walks of life, all ages and nationalities. Some people book individually, some as couples and others as part of a group of friends. We have no upper age limit as it is our philosophy that, just because you have passed 55, it doesn’t mean to say you can’t still enjoy life to the full and experience an African adventure with us. Our lower age limit is 18 on regular safaris, or 6 on family departures and an adult must accompany any child between the age of 6 and 18. Our Safaris:
Our trips are adventurous in nature with an emphasis on comfort and include lodge, chalet, simple hotel accommodation, permanent tented camps and mobile tented camps. Some accommodation will be rustic, others more conventional. Expect two to three star hotels, lodges and chalets with our standard transportation in our overland adventure vehicles. When it comes to cuisine, some meals are included, while others can be taken at restaurants and lodges along the way. The advantage here is that you get to sample some local authentic African dishes along the way. Some days may require longer travelling distances than others, which may require an early rise, where other days there will be more time for relaxation. On safaris, we have a number of included excursions. We don’t want our clients having to dig in their pockets for too much extra when they have booked on one of our tours. We make it as all inclusive as possible. The more extreme activities such as bungi jumping, quad biking, white water rafting remains an optional excursion for those with the need for extra adrenalin, while some other excursions are offered as optional to enable you to see exactly what you’re spending your hard earned cash on, and how it benefits the people in that area. Limited participation - This is another great plus on a WildLife Adventures trip. We request passengers to assist with meal preparation when necessary and with a few minor chores – but other than that, you have more free time for relaxation and exploration. Our Itineraries
We have what we term our mainstream routes as well as the more exotic destinations. Our safaris visit the highlights in the countries we travel through & travel off the beaten track to lesser known, yet equally attractive destinations. Being African based we are able to constantly source new and exciting destinations and projects to add to our well-known trip itineraries. Security
Traveling in Africa can be difficult at times and security is an important factor. The camps & lodges we visit are well reputed for their excellent security and our crew will also brief all clients at the pre-departure meeting on being security conscious. All our vehicles have a safe storage facility for documents and money-belts.
